History:

[Before Village System…]

Far in between, if you could think of anything so fickle, it was a rabbit.

This was the nature used to best describe the Usagi Clan. The clan is recently new compared to other clans that established long before the village system. Over half a century ago, a woman with poor vision had sought asylum from the fighting, conflicting warriors, clans of the time that wanted to abuse her fragile and beautiful being. To this end, she had made contact with one of the few creatures of the land that had grown intelligible and established themselves in the far reaches of the Land of Earth: a Lop Rabbit by the name of Usagi. A contract was signed with this intelligible rabbit that the woman and her children would be protected by the Rabbit’s power by learning the skills the rabbit had to offer, but she would have to dedicate herself to stabilizing the clan in the name of the creature as well as bare many children (as thought the nature of the rabbit).

It was a trade that endured for the next half century…

[During a time of village system development…]

That woman, the headmistress who name would become Akemi Usagi, had abided by the contract and learned the art of “Jutsu.” However, most of this was akin to the skills of using their abilities to strengthen abilities to avoid combat rather than embrace it, as the nature of the rabbit is to act as prey more so than predator. The headmistress had upheld her end of the contract after learning this art, bearing eight children in a promiscuous nature rather than establishing a family (as the contract to Usagi takes precedent over dedication to a husband or mate). Those children, through their lifetime, were cared for by Akemi, Usagi, and any temporary “suitors” that Akemi would take. Because of this, Akemi was taught the nature of how to take in her environment, flee from danger, and even a special skill from Usagi known as “Usagi No Chikaku.” This was only possible due to Akemi’s body as well as her children’s adapting to Usagi’s way of living and exposure to the environments.

Regardless of the construction of the village system a year before, this did not convince Akemi to become integrated. If anything, this made her presence even more alluring as many villagers either wanted a civil life or have a wife at home. Akemi took advantage of this, and thus, when her children came of age, they too had become married (even as early as eighteen) and would bare children. Submissive the clan’s methods may have been, they were also cruel as the mothers of those children would often flee back to the clan and their nomadic lifestyle (especially if their father would insist that the mother or children would take the clan’s name). The clan’s traveling lifestyle often would continue to persevere from ages on as they lived off the land, aid in taking care of one another’s children, fashioned their clothing and accessories to accompany their nin-abilities, and lastly to change to a clan that is known for business rather than militia.

[At the present…]

Even with the clan’s reputation, they still flourished.

They continued being a nomadic group that traveled around the countries outskirts and borders. The Usagi used their superior wits and wilds to bargain with ninja, bandits, and even criminals that would approach them. Because of their beauty, they were not above using their bodies (for nobility) as trades as it would benefit the clan as well as garner them more knowledge of certain attackers in the future. The clan lived mostly off the land, and due to the amount of ground they would cover, they would find themselves in trades and bartering with other countries looking for goods non-native to their lands. Whenever any individual would see the signature motif of a cotton tail, ears, and white clothing that draped the legs and chest area, they knew they were in the presence of the Usagi clan member and had the luck of a rabbit (in more ways than one).

With the establishment and fame of the clan, the elder rabbit summon had dubbed herself Queen Usagi, and would have children of her own that would watch over the clan member who would stray from the collective group to visit villages or go on tasks to gather goods or resume populating the clan. The Usagi clan’s promiscuity and docile nature is infamous, until this very day in every village due to their presentation beauty in common bars and bath houses, skill in knowing the layout of the land, and reluctance to evade battle. However, they have made enemies of individuals who have broken hearts and children that they know nothing of.

Currently, the clan is over a century old (the head mistress passed and along with it her teachings), and she has bared eight known children, three unknown children, at least 23 grandchildren. All of them live with their neutrality by keeping resourceful trades and agreements across the five nations as they station themselves in Iwagakure and has a system of trade in order to engulf and work within all five nations with developed houses that serve the village, stabilize economy with their entertainment, and keep away males by enlisting them in militia and having them stay with their fathers. The Usagi insist that they do not work for the villages nor give them secrets, and do this by taxation and business in order to stabilize their neutrality and insisting that their “men” are only for the sake of business.

Structure/Relationships/Culure/etc.:

“You may have some rabbit in you.”

This saying is present in some of the tongues of the villages due to the nature of the Usagi clan and is linked to ‘perversion.’ Due to the Usagi Men being left to their fathers and female newborns kept for the clan, it can be said some have this clan's blood in them unknowingly. Personality wise, the family seems to be very common with using suggestive hints and innuendos that reveal their very kinky side. Due to men being so enamored with them, it’s often that they fall prey to this. However, they do have high-standards due to the quality of the mates they choose, and so it is often they are portrayed as whores, harlots, and other vile names in society. Regardless, they are proud and seem to not respond to negative commentary from society, and do not need to as they are not often denied by males and often hated by females who compete with their natural nature and loyalist goal to mate. They still have an honor code, that they do not interfere with marriages…that they know of.

The Usagi clan’s promiscuous nature brought on this saying as they have incredible beauty and have a wish to reproduce above all else to uphold the contract of the “Queen.” So much so, male children are often left in the care of the fathers (by abandonment or voluntarily) due to the fear of probably becoming militia to one of the villages. Therefore, the claimed and known Usagi clan members will remain to be female and even be marked with their motif of their mark somewhere on their clothing (an upside down rabbit paw that is emphasized to be the often thick features of the female: hips, voluptuous bust, and strong motherly arms).

The Usagi clan’s diplomatic ties are mostly for the sake of finance and civility. The clan members volunteer to put on shows, run deliveries from one village to the next that may not be able to be done by ordinary means, or take small jobs to allure customers due to their famed beauty and galore; however, they will not associate themselves with a village. The Usagi clan does business with the villages (with the exception and extra caution of Sungakure due to the clan member’s signature technique being dulled by the loose properties of sand) when requested, but does not got involved with combat, especially when the villages are going through wartime. They exchange goods and fetch materials when payed a price, and because of their ability to flee danger and identify areas, their success rate keeps some of the most practical ninja from going on unneeded missions.

Usagi clan members also have their signature clothing items and tools: a set of rabbit-like ears that aid in their signature jutsu (Usa-Etoku) which boosts their hearing. However, the drawback of the contract caused the family to forego most or almost all of their vision as a number of the family members have become or been born blind. Due to this, the family members of the clan have glasses/goggles to correct their vision while the blind family members have a standard issued bo meant for navigation. The Usagi family are accompanied by a rabbit every so often, so if you see a rabbit, you most likely know there is a Usagi clan member working in the area or visiting to pedal wares to fund the family.

The Usagi clan’s main aspect is that they flee battle. It is what ensured their survival throughout the ages. Even the most skilled ninja admits that one of the hardest tasks is catching a Usagi clan member and capturing them alive or dead. The Usagi seem to have the ability to use a variation of Shunshin (Body Flicker) allowing them to flee from battle quickly, even if it is on a smaller scale. This would not be a problem, if their signature ability, Usa-Etoku, would not also be a favored ability by the clan to use in order to identify danger. Because of this combination, the family members of the nomadic clan know when they are being watched and flee quickly just before anyone can think about giving pursuit. Because of constant running, channeling chakra into their legs, and techniques that involve leg movement; the Usagi clan members have muscular thighs making kicking-basedH attacks favored.

Expect for Usagi Clan members to be well versed in ninja-tools, especially those which require traps to be set and sprung. The clan dates back to using these tools to protect their temporary settlements. Combine these with their sense of sound, the clan would often know which direction to flee from upon listening to which traps were sprung. Although well versed and innovative in traps, this does not mean they completely rely on them. Their fickle and fragile nature makes them especially cautious as they are nomads that brave the wilds and try to make plan for almost every small possibility in which the young could be in danger.

The Chakra nature, based from their homeland, is Earth. This mostly comes as a use for building barricades, creating escape routes, as well as creating temporary obstacles for targets to deal with. Naturally, they even create holes in which to settle themselves in. So, if the land sinks inward as if it had been dug out, the chances are Usagi clan members have done so in order to allow their ears to sense danger. The clan's innovative techniques make it hard for predators to catch them off guard.

They Hyuga Clan are said to be rivals with the Usagi Clan because they oppose each other’s nature in every possible way. Where the Hyuga are composed and very tactful, the Usagi are miscreants and quite lewd. Where the Hyuga are very kept about their children who harbor their abilities, the Usagi are very dismissive of males and only traditionally covet the females (the males are insured afar). The Hyuga prize their eyes and ability to see all, and the Usagi are ones that can hear all. The Usagi-Style of using their legs rival the speedy movements of the feet from the Hyuga Clan keeping their gentle-fists away from the members upper body as much as possible with careful dancing-like movements. Thus, the clans are matched due to just how calculating they both are when it comes to sensory and close-combat styles of fighting.

Pet(s): Rabbits – The Rabbit and Hare are symbols of the Usagi Clan. As a result, the Usagi are usually coupled with a rabbit or two as a symbol of their traits. Each of the eldest members tend to keep a rabbit as a pet that represents their qualities and often seen carrying them or keeping them close-by as a sign of business (Example: Umi’s rabbit is speckled with black spots but has a white-coat, Chiasa is pure white, Hikari’s rabbit is pure white as reflective of his mother). The rabbits hold no major significance other than being a symbol, but they are well-cherished and kept by the Usagi Clan members.

Mochi/Dongo/Vegetables: The Usagi Clan adore vegetables and fruits! Do not think carrots! These rabbit girls love the taste of Mochi, especially of the strawberry flavored variety that come from Spring. This is based on the folklore of the lunar rabbit most likely, but it is obvious they take a liking to them for taste alone if you see the Usagi Clan often carrying them. The specialty of the Usagi Clan are these doughy sweets which makes up for them straying from massive amounts of meat in their diets.

Drink(s): Ninhonshu and Umeshu – Usagi are no strangers to alcoholic drinks. As they are to be ones commonly such inhibiting drinks, they prefer the common product of their rice-based creation and consumption (Ninshonshu/Sake) for stronger preferences; or their weaker, fruitier/sweeter drinks (Umeshu). Either way, they favor drinking, and thus usually serve these favorites to their clients upon visit or even as a social means. Anything else is usually the favorites of fruit juices and water as they keep to a stringent diet for the sake of survival and resources.

Kekkei Genkai:

Usagi no Chikaku [Rabbit Perception] – Or simply a skill known as Chikaku. A skill passed directly from the rabbit Queen, Usagi, in order to help her clan escape the danger of being caught in the wilds. The skill channels chakra into the organs of the ear to help the user hear things with more precision. If you would hear a droplet of water hit calm waters in a forest, a Usagi clan member would hear the same except within a crowd of thousands. The mastery of the skill determines how well a Usagi clan member can manage the many sounds they can hear all at once and detect which ones belong to which source. To a Usagi Clan member, this plays like a detailed blueprint within their very head as they hear everything within the area, and it becomes fuzzy from birth to pristine and clear upon maturity. Mostly, if a person is wearing glasses or needs visual aid due to their vision being dull, they may have a chance to learn this skill as the Usagi clan’s founder had poor vision and her body adapted to the changes by sharpening her hearing and learning from Usagi herself how to do so. This is good to gather recon data as a Usagi clan member’s ear on a wall goes a much further way to hearing the conversation inside an entire complex rather than the next room over.

Even if this skill is very good at detecting things in the environment, it still makes on vulnerable. If in use and the user is caught off guard by a loud sound, it could damage their hearing. The chakra is adjusted and improves the capabilities of hearing as the user matures, so this drawback becomes less vulnerable the older they grow as they learn how to manage the many volumes of sounds. Not only that, but since this is all dependent on the qualities of matter, the Usagi clan members have trouble with areas where sound does not go far depending on the medium. This puts them in an advantage in a water-based fluid area such as the Land of Mist, but greatly at a disadvantage when it comes to areas such as the Land of Wind.

Usagi Clan Members who have the Kekkei Genkai of Chikaku cannot be born with dojutsu! This is because their vision is hampered by their genetics of poor vision but intensifying other senses. In a way, the clan is thought to be “cursed” because of this and their promiscuous lifestyle of not showing or knowing of true love (the latter being conjecture). However, that does not mean they cannot obtain dojutsu by harvesting eyes such as other clans do to obtain Sharingan and Byakugan.

Traits: Usagi Clan members are blessed with significant hearing, allowing them to hear certain distances.

E Rank - 50 Meters
D Rank – 100 Meters
C Rank - 250 Meters
B Rank - 500 Meters
A Rank - 1 Kilmoeters
S Rank – 1.5 Kilomoters
[Note: Stamina is depleted 1 Point per post/duration]

Usagi Idō [Rabbit Movement] – With the time spent being apart from Shinobi society in their history, the Usagi had to rely on methods that would allow them to evade the power and speed of shinobi, nuke-nin, and bandits. This is where Usagi Ido would be beneficial. Years of survival have nourished the leg strength of the Usagi in order to make it so that they are able to move at more high-speeds. With strong natural leg muscles, the Usagi are able to also increase their stamina. If one would see how the Usagi children would play, strengthening their feet and practicing their movement skills while wearing their signature heeled geta, it is very well self-explanatory how their strength within their legs would come so naturally.

Usagi Clan members do not just use these skills for fighting. Mesmeric dances, movements and entrancing strokes of the hips would cause them to strengthen cores and lower bodies. Upper strength is seldom focused on for the Usagi Clan due to them being so dependent on their legs, and seeing as they are majority women, the power of their kicks using this leg strength and their pelvic bones almost make their legs like whips. Males seemed to have adapted this type of muscular build or formation of skeletal that would mimic it when they have trained their bodies and seem to be dominant in most Usagi Clan members.

Traits: Usagi Clan are blessed with strong legs and endurance from running afar and dancing! Stamina and Speed are increased by 10 Points each.

Joining Requirements: Birth | Business(Women)

Heāhoppingu, Usagi Idō, and Rabbit-Style Secret Technique: 1,000 Years of Suffering would work better as jutsu. The history, name, symbol, and joining requirements look good, though.

Usagi no Chikaku's range is a bit too high. Perhaps try cutting it in half...?

Heahoppingu has been removed entirely. It was just for measure anyway and I was not certain of trying to make it work. I rather forego it to keep the profile simple.

Usagi Ido is edited to be more reflective of of a stat-boost rather than a technique. I had planned on getting Eight-Gates to be reflective of what I desired anyway.

Rabbit-Style has been removed. It's pretty much a simple groin kick and was added for flavor. Didn't know it would scale on your system.

Chikaku has been edited with the latter numbers being cut in half.
