Birds of a Feather... | Open Empty Birds of a Feather... | Open

The day was sure to be hot, it had been expected since the early morning when the sun's rays had not yet reached over the tops of the giant trees that encircled the outer ring of Konohagakure no Sato's village border. With it now at its highest point in the sky the smart individuals were somewhere inside and away from the rays of sun, but not Xsalice. Quite the opposite actually, he enjoyed all things natural that stemmed from mother nature, thus why he made no fuss or fight when a pair of blue jays perched themselves on top of his shinobi encyclopedias in both of his outstretched hands. An unconventional strength training method, surely, but not much was of normal standards when it came to Xsalice. Upon their descent the little blue birds began chirping rapidly, although not to each other, but instead to the boy who stared intently as if the high pitched avian noises made sense to him.

Hmm... A caravan of travelers from the east?.. I should be in their route of travel, all though... That does mean they'll be opening the gates to allow them passage which could become a potential problem if anyone were to be let out... Should I relocate?..

In any populated setting he was an immediate danger to those around him, thus he actively chose to live out in nature away from civilization, but like the curious teen that he was Xsalice just couldn't stay away for too long and risk at the least knowing of the newest trends. With a cocked eyebrow and gesture of his head up toward the skies one of the blue jays took off, it would remain as his eyes in the sky waiting on standby to alert him of anyone that got to close his location. As for the other bird, the boy had a different task for it. After placing the bird free book down a few open handed and hard to read gestures were made towards it before pointing off in the direction of the hidden leaf village. The bird cocked its head to the side before it began squawking and moving about with attitude as if in protest.

Xsalice's face dropped to that of a not amused expression at the bird's performance, thus a single cut of his eyes was all that it took to strike an apparent fear in the avian's heart causing it to take off in the direction tasked of it. A roll of his eyes accompanied a heavy sigh before picking up the encyclopedia and outstretching his arm once more and continuing his strength training.

Joohyung marched across the moderately empty streets of Konohagakure with a pole resting on his right shoulder while he carried it with one hand. He had on his usual grin when he was making his way to the village boards. Becoming a shinobi was all about the three main things: courage, adventure, and dominance; according to Joohyung. It was a beautiful morning in the village, and there was no other way to seize it by training by the village borders. One of the reasons why he loved it so much was that Joohyung always had that vivid imagination of his; he would pretend there were intruders trying to sneak into the village and beat them up. Consider it motivation for him to work hard to graduate from the academy and forward.

In the distance, Joohyung spotted a figure; a boy who, unfortunately, was taller than Joohyung himself who was reading a book. Asides from the fact that the other boy was taller, he was also someone Joohyung didn't recognize as far as he could tell. It wasn't like he actually paid attention to the other students in his class. He only focused on himself and himself only.

"Hey!" Joohyung yelled as he wove his pole around. He'd then proceed to march forward with caution, not letting his guard down in case he gets attacks. It didn't look Joohyung would be attacked, and to be frank, he didn't want to attack either. He wasn't scared, why would he be, but considering the fact that he might engage in his very first fight was both breathtaking and nerve wrecking to him. Making sure that he didn't pose as a threat, he threw up a big friendly grin as he approached the boy.

"What'cha readin' there?"
