Name: Shinikishi Clan
Symbol: Shinikishi Clan (complete) Seal-naruto-fuuin
History: Those who witnessed the quaint and quiet birth of the Shinikishi clan would never be able to predict what, one day, they would become. Some time after the inception of the first Ninja Village, Konohagakure, the Shinikishi Clan had its indirect origins in a single individual - Uzumaki Shunshuu. Despite being extremely young, Shunshuu was widely acclaimed as one of the most promising members of the Uzumaki clan, even considering the clan was full of powerful ninja.
With a quiet and friendly demeanor, as well as uncontested potential, his friendship with three particularly unimpressive individuals was, sometimes, the talk of the clan. Instead of associating himself with his own peers, Shunshuu gained the favor and company of three older Uzumaki clan members: Uzumaki Kyoushin, Uzumaki Hankou and Uzumaki Ryouken who, despite having no remarkable qualities, lived in the shadow of the child prodigy, and gladly so, for a couple of years.

Quickly gaining a name for themselves simply for the fact of being inseparable with Shunshuu, the three Uzumaki lived quiet and uneventful lives in this short time period. But the Ninja World, enshrouded in turmoil and chaos, still wasn't as structured and organized as it is today - small conflicts and rivalries were common and, at this point in time, such a conflict spawned between the Uzumaki and another local, smaller clan.
And while the war was easily won by the Uzumaki, it wasn't without casualties. While securing a vital resource route for the clan, Shunshuu was ambushed by the enemy clan. With little to no backup from his three friends, who were completely outmatched, even Shunshuu's stellar potential and uncommon power was no match for four ninja squads. As a last resort, feeling defeat come over him, Shunshuu spoke up for the first time of his life, and told his three companions to flee. Mustering his last deposit of chakra, Shunshuu stood up, blood flowing from his wounds, and his eyes fiercely set on his opponents, who hesitated for a second right before rallying their determination and charging at the doomed prodigy.

And as his three cowardly companions fled, barely looking back, Shunshuu smiled one last time, closing his eyes, and unearthing one old, forgotten technique no one had seen in use for years. His released chakra took shape behind him, turning into a long, flowing robe; white, spiked hair formed around an emaciated, horned face, with pointy teeth and piercing eyes, as pale as the moon. The Shinigami, showing its spectral form in this plane in years, glared across the battlefield, accessing the situation, as the Shiki Fūjin took its full effect.
As if controlled by something, Uzumaki Kyoushin stopped his frantic escape: looking back, he was confronted by the new situation.

And as he looked, in the distance, he saw the Shinigami raise its beads high into the air, as its arm pierced the body of the young Uzumaki, cleaving itself into several arms, one for each enemy ninja. And as these arms struck them, pulling out their souls and dragging them back to the hungry-eyed Shinigami, much to their dismayed, Kyoushin found himself unable to avert his eyes. As if he was mesmerized, his eyes absorbed every little detail - the look of fear and pain blatant in the face of the enemies, the wicked smile on the thin, spectral lips of their executioner and the solemn look of solace in the face of Shunshuu, as the last hints of life drew out of his body and he realized his mission had been successful.

As the three survivors returned to their clan headquarters, however, they were not the same. Deeply transfigured mentally, Kyoushin was unlike himself, as if he had become a new man. Unremarkable at first, his true skill had awakened and, on the short walk home, he managed to convert his old friends to his own admiration over the entity that controlled life and death, an entity with untold power and a frightening appearance, one that could only be brought forth by the Shiki Fūjin. A few weeks passed, during which Kyoushin recounted his tale and of the death of the much loved Shunshuu, whose hair Kyoushin swore to have changed into a pure white color as he perished, all the while conveniently keeping the cowardice of the trio unmentioned, and one of the three men, Uzumaki Kyoushin, had a series of feverish dreams in which he claimed he was instructed by the Shinigami itself to gather and convert followers, to form a clan worthy of its blessing and powers.

In secrecy, these dreams were turned into a speech of conversion, of preaching and mad ramblings of a new, Elder God. And though these were largely dismissed as the words of weaklings who had buckled and become broken under the weight of seeing the source of their notoriety vanish in the ashes of battle, unfortunately, Kyoushin's fever and new talents were not to be underestimated. His powers of manipulation and sophistry were strong and soon enough, without rhyme or reason, the trio attempted a coup in the name of their new beliefs, in which they nearly assassinated the head of the Uzumaki clan, leading to their banishment from the clan and their lands, being granted mercy by those in power. But this was not the end of Kyoushin, not in the least. With his ideas still deeply rooted in his mind, he would reenter the dwellings of the Uzumaki clan, days later, under a guise, where covertly, he continued to preach to the glory of the Elder God. Before he could be stopped, his indoctrination and powerful words had already corrupted enough people, dragging them from the safety and comfort of their homes, and leading them to abandon their own clan.

Assuming a new name for their group, the Shinikishi Clan, the trio - now dubbing themselves as the Three Elders - roamed the land, with the two dozen former Uzumaki they managed to spirit away, looking for a place to settle. Initially being taken into Konoha after bringing up their Uzumaki ancestry, the newly formed Shinikishi clan quickly became no more than nuisances, continually trying to find new spiritual followers, doing public shows of religious behavior as well as defying those who did not, and found themselves once more in the receiving end of a banishment, specially after Konoha learned of the circumstances under which they left their home clan.
In this precarious situation, Kyoushin decided that the best line of action for the clan was to barricade themselves in a cut-off, abandoned village in a small peninsula, in the Fire Country, to be left alone by those who did not believe in the Elder God. This decision, however, was not achieved peacefully - Hankou, the sanest of the Elders, defied Kyoushin's rule of the clan. Outnumbered and defeated, he was finally murdered by none other than Ryouken, under direct order of Kyoushin, as a means to prove his allegiance.

It was thus, with this bloodied beginning, that the Shinikishi clan opened way for their coming madness. Developing the most basic systems, such as ninja schools and an ocean-based economy, the clan aimed to become self-sufficient, needing only to interact with other clans and villages for trading purposes. Slowly but surely, the shut-out, landlocked, isolated clan warped their mentality and became no more than a glorified cult. Under Kyoushin's iron rule, their culture and habits changed, becoming more and more extreme. In fact, by the end of the third Shinikishi generation, and with Kyoushin having long perished due to old age, leaving his sons and grandsons to perpetuate his imperial and draconian leadership, one would have never been able to identify the clan as having Uzumaki origins, with the exception perhaps of their watered down red hair.

Now, old and weakened as well, Teishin, Kyoushin's grandson, witnessed the birth of a child that would forever change the history of the clan. Sporting a white mane of unruly, spiked hair, the pale child incited awe and surprise as she grew up, quickly becoming one of the strongest ninja in the clan. Promptly, the leadership of the clan began establishing parallels and comparisons between this woman, Shinikish Koushi, and the very entity that, at this point, they worshiped: the Shinigami. Regardless, the woman lived a long life to become, undoubtedly, the strongest and best known Shinikishi clan member around the Ninja world, specially after her death. It was her, as well, that once more unearthed the long-forgotten origin to the Shinikishi clan - in her old age, as she grew more and more frail, the last living action of Koushi was to single-handedly halt an incoming invasion of an alliance of rogue clans, stopping them in their tracks in the only entrance to the village, by utilizing the Shiki Fūjin.

It was here, as she gave her life for her clan, that the legend of the White Demons began, and it was also here that their fate was sealed.
As the propaganda regarding the purported incredible power of the white-haired children began, their hair color and uncommon traits quickly became directly linked to their power. And while some people disregarded this as mere propaganda, the truth is that the next white-haired child, Keishi, only further proved this. Successor to the leadership, Keishi proved to be extremely gifted at a very young age, developing dozens of different, powerful Fūinjutsu for the clan. He too, however, met an untimely death as he was murdered in one fatidic night at the tender age of 18, before he could sire a child.

Thus, with an elder, widowed leader, the Shinikishi clan saw its chain of leadership broken. But democracy occupied the open spot and soon, a new clan leader was to be elected. Similarly named to the original creator of the clan, Kyuushin quickly became one of the strongest contenders to the spot of clan leader, much thanks to a demeanor and campaign similar to Kyoushin's. These similarities proved themselves to be true once he was effectively elected - reestablishing his own version of the draconian law, he quickly equated religious belief and strength of faith with social status. Fortifying the religious leverage of the belief system inside the clan, he began to justify the appearance of white-haired children as gifts of the great Elder God, the Shinigami, on visions quite similar to the original dreams Kyoushin purportedly experienced and, using these, he swiftly changed the path the Shinikishi clan followed.

Focusing all their military and training efforts into the art of Fūinjutsu and nearly foregoing everything else, Kyuushin also turned the cult-like mentality into a cult-like behavior. The faith in the controller of Death quickly became a belief in Death itself - gruesome rituals became a staple in the clan, as one's blood was representative of one's power. Infidels and criminals were murdered in public as religious rituals, animals were butchered and devoured by mobs of frenzied people, blood was used for bathing and drinking. Every time a leader stepped down or died, the new leader would be elected by the people - except this time around, it would happen accordingly with their willingness to sacrifice themselves for the clan, through self mutilation and physical harm. The more they could sacrifice, the more they would harness the sympathy of the populace, which in turn generally signified crippled or amputee leaders, given enough time.

Incest, too, was encouraged to preserve the clan's purity of powers and blood, in a strange dichotomy where relationships with direct family members would be considered a sin but, rather, relationships with cousins and other family of similarly removed ties would be encouraged.
Though gradual, these changes firmly took root into the clan's traditions and, over time, shifted the collective mind of the Shinikishi. And while most people merely got used to these new factors, the ones who suffered the most were the white haired children, their physical appearance was representative of a greater power, a physical representation of none other than the Shinigami itself. Born rarely, their birth was extremely auspicious for the clan despite the fact that they were not known for their purposeful, long lives, as the next four children born under these conditions all met their deaths before they became more than toddlers, for private ritualistic purposes - their blood was considered highly valuable and powerful and, thus, their kidnapping and subsequent murder was the most common route.

Kyuushin, as a final measure in his life, saw these deaths of the children as signs from the Elder God - displeasure, anger and wrath, swiftly culling the hopes and opportunities of the Shinikishi - and, fearful in his own approaching end of life and meeting with Death, banned the use of the Shiki Fūjin among the clan members. Bothering the God for every petty circumstance was nothing but heresy, he defended, leaving the right to use this technique only to the clan leader, and condemning those who did not obey this - and all the other - rules of the clan to become damned and be punished accordingly, generally severely and with death, as well as extending this punishment to those directly related to the person in question.

It was, thus, in such a way that the Shinikishi clan evolved to the present days, forgotten by the rest of society, bar a select Uzumaki, cut off and isolated from the rest of the world, in their own private land, perpetuating their macabre and fanatical bloodlust over an entity that may not even exist. And to this day, the clan's traditions still remain largely unchanged, albeit significantly more private.

Kekkei Genkai:
ABILITY TRAITS
Much like the clan they originated from, Shinikishi clan members focused and distilled the Uzumaki's inherent Fūinjutsu skills, adapting them to the new clan's reality. Over time, after the split, the clan ended up focusing their efforts in that which they were best at, which was Fūinjutsu, after acquiring and attuning to their religious beliefs.
As a consequence to this, and over many generations, the practice and even ability to utilize and find out one's Chakra nature was lost and, as such, modern day Shinikishi members cannot and will not use any type of Elemental ninjutsu.

Their chakra, thus, has slowly changed over time and attuned to the lack of a Nature, focusing its abilities and predisposition merely to Fūinjutsu and augmenting the clan members chakra control to previously unseen levels, inside the clan. Now with their own niche in the Ninja world, the Shinikishi clan prides itself on its superior Fūinjutsu abilities, advertising their prowess as having surpassed the Uzumaki's, even though it is unknown if this is a fact or mere propaganda.

Unnamed Bloodline
Lacking a name, much due to the clan's assumption that it is not an actual bloodline but rather a blessing from the Shinigami himself, the Shinikishi's bloodline mostly comes from the clan's own efforts into purifying and strengthening their Fūinjutsu-related abilities. Having had their minds, bodies and even their chakra attuned to the subtleties of Fūinjutsu for generations, clan members show particular skill in coming up with unconventional seals and show ease at inventing and utilizing new sealing techniques, be either ones they themselves made or techniques that they have the chance of observing. As such, utilizing the same sealing technique a few times in front of a Shinikishi clan member almost guarantees he or she will adopt and adapt that technique to their arsenal, thanks to their great understanding of sealing mechanisms (Only valid for Canon Fuuinjutsu techniques. OOC processes of acquiring the technique, however, still apply).

Additionally, this specially attuned chakra they exhibit, coupled with special and secret training, allows them to simplify the Fūinjutsu inscriptions they come up with. What this means, in a practical way, is that the schematics and writing of the Fūinjutsu they develop, complex in effects or otherwise, often are much simpler in design than if they were developed by any other ninja, rendering them harder to read, understand and break/counter by those who do not belong to the Shinikishi clan, as their objective and structure are never obvious and always encrypted with some sort of cipher. What this means, in practice, is that to break or unseal a technique created by a Shinikishi clan member, one needs to commit more chakra than he normally would (5-10 more chakra resulting in the following averages, in hard CP: D rank - 20CP C rank - 35CP; B rank - 55CP; A rank - 80CP, 100S rank - CP) or, otherwise, use an unsealing technique of a rank higher than the Shinikishi seal.

Shinikishi clan members' chakra, when used concurrently with a Fūinjutsu and when sealed as part of that jutsu, into an object or person, can be used for a variety of purposes or effects, some of which are not conventional for regular Fūinjutsu. This has allowed the Shinikishi clan members to fight nearly exclusively using Fūinjutsu, which now cover all of their needs, by simply using their very chakra as the subject of these Fūinjutsu to accomplish their needs.

But the true strength of their bloodline ability is, undoubtedly, the result of both their precise chakra control and the unique chakra they possess. By focusing on their chakra output, through the palms of their hands or bottom of their feet, the Shinikishi clan members are able to emit their chakra in intricate, complex weaving and patterns, making this chakra output vibrate at high frequencies. As such, and red they manage to land a hit on their target with these body parts (be the target a human or otherwise), they can shape their chakra output into the semblance of whatever Fūinjutsu inscription they intend to use and, utilizing a medium , they can quickly or even instantly stamp out the Fūinjutsu in question into the target, saving precious time with inscriptions and drawings.

Among the mediums used by Shinikishi Clan members, the ones more commonly used are either their own blood or a specially created ink, belonging to the clan, that only adheres to targets on the spots that are stimulated by this rapidly vibrating chakra. After this process, all the Shinikishi clan member needs to do is apply the necessary handseals and activate the Fūinjutsu in question. Higher ranked Shinikishi clan ninjas (Chuunin-ranked and upwards) are also able to utilize this vibrating chakra without a medium. For such, they increase the output of chakra and make it vibrate at even higher frequencies, causing the chakra to burn the target, when it touches them, essentially branding them. This, however, causes any technique applied this way to cost 5 extra chakra, leading to a much faster exhaustion.

This high frequency vibration, however, has the side effect of leading to the user's hands or feet turning numb after exposed to the vibration for extended periods of time, Additionally, utilizing this function of their chakra is nigh impossible when wearing any kind of clothing on that particular body part, which means that gloves and footwear get in the way of this chakra output, rendering it inefficient.

Approved!~

I'm a little iffy about approval of creator, because I've seen people join, create a clan that requires creator's approval, and leave, essentially leaving that clan locked. But I can guarantee you that as long as you remain somewhat active your joining requirements will remain as they are.
